Brennpunkt Drëtt Welt is published by the NGO Action Solidarité Tiers Monde. The magazine is intended as a space of expression for civil society organizations and social movements concerned with issues related to “development”.
Thanks to the diversity of its contributors – Luxembourg cooperation actors, journalists, researchers, committed activists from the North and the South, collective citizens – Brennpunkt Drëtt Welt seeks to strengthen public debates for a transition towards a more united, equitable and sustainable society. More than just information, Brennpunkt provides access to critical content focused on reflections and actions that emerge in response to the climate emergency, the increase in social inequalities and the dismantling of solidarity between peoples.
Drëtt Welt? Third world?
Since its creation in 1973, Brennpunkt Drëtt Welt has been shedding light on the “Third World”. A term that Action Solidarité Tiers Monde continues to use to designate those who aspire to live in dignity but who are exploited, despised and above all excluded from the decisions that determine society’s choices.
